Unleash your child’s creativity with The Met this Summer!

Does your child love performing? Are you looking for theatre to make your little one’s summer? Children aged 6-10 are invited to join us for our very own Summer School! One whole week full of fun-filled days of drama where they will have the chance to create their own brand-new piece of performance.

Inspired by the theme of ‘Imagination Island’, a story about a group of children that travel to a remote island to visit the ultimate theme park. When they arrive, their transport disappears. Every day they can do whatever their imaginations can think of. But whatever they choose, however fun it is, there’s always a catch… Imagination Island slowly turns into ‘Danger Island’! Think Jurassic World meets Pinocchio!

Come and join us and create your own brand new show, using your own ideas and talents and learning new skills in different styles of drama, performance and story-telling. Make friends, play games and most of all have fun!

Over the whole week children will be able to:

• Devise and perform their own scenes.
• Play drama games, learning skills in theatre performance.
• Make theatre, using props, costume, music and imaginations!
• Improve acting skills in a fully-supported, inclusive environment.
• Build confidence, have fun and make new friends.

All of this delivered in a safe and friendly space by our very own Madeliene who runs Bury Youth Theatre Juniors and Aiming High!
