Aiming High is The Met’s specialist drama group for learning disabled and autistic young people. It is an accessible and fun workshop run by highly qualified practitioners.
Aiming High are back in their home at The Met for another term of fun and creative drama activity.
- We are now operating three different groups. These fit into a broadly age-based structure but are also based upon the needs of the individuals.
- For the time being, we will not be accepting any new members. We know this might be disappointing for some, but while we are settling our groups back into the venue and making sure that everyone is kept safe, we will be keeping the doors closed on this group. Prospective new members can make contact with us and place their names on the waiting list.
- All members will pay in half-termly blocks using the payment links on this page.
- We have a bright, shiny new Risk Assessment that outlines everything that we are doing to keep you and our staff safe in this new world. You can read it for yourself here.
Our groups use physical activities and drama games to create a safe place for young people to express themselves, encourage them to become more independent and improve team working, communication skills and confidence.
Performing in a short show every term, the young people learn to have focus, a goal and enjoy a big achievement.
If you would like to enquire about a place on our waiting list for this group, please contact steph.meskellbrocken@themet.org.uk
