The Met works to inspire and excite regional audiences with our programme. We work with excellent artists both as a receiving venue and as a collaborative producer.
With a range of opportunities to access, The Met will work with agents and musicians who are able to demonstrate quality and a commitment to creativity and innovation. The Met works on a range of projects and events including a commitment to talent development. The Met operates as both promoter and in partnership with promoters to achieve the best programme to inspire local audiences and develop visiting audiences from Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
The Met has a strong reputation for visual and physical theatre with particular interest in work suitable for new audiences in our studio space, The Box. Our family theatre programme has developed over 20 years with strong relationships with companies who consistently develop high quality work which impacts on young audiences and their families and celebrates diversity. Our programme achieves both talent and audience development for our organisation. As a National Portfolio funded organisation by Arts Council England we are committed to supporting new work where we can.
