Help The Met Continue to Bring Music & Creativity to Bury

As we all do our bit to help keep our communities safe and healthy, The Met has to close its doors (temporarily) to the public. This goes against everything we aim to be; inclusive, welcoming and packed with music, creativity and happy people. Which means we’re looking ahead to when we can re-open, and what we can do in the meantime to keep reaching people.

These are uncertain times for many people, including everyone who works making live events and experiences. The Met will keep doing everything we can to support artists, our employees and everyone who was planning to have a brilliant experience here with us over the next few weeks.

If you’re in a position to help support us and our network until we can throw open our doors again, we’d be very grateful. Here’s a few suggestions:

    • Buy tickets – yes, really. We’ve got gigs on-sale all the way up to next April (including rearranged dates of cancelled shows). Give yourself or a friend you definitely want to get together with then this is all over something to look forward too. It’s obvious, but cashflow will help support us all during this time.

    • Gift vouchers – We’re already excited by what we can do when we re-open. You can even send gift credit out to friends by email. If there’s nothing you fancy buying on sale yet, there will be soon!

    • Membership – Our membership packages start from just £5 a month. There are lots of perks including advance notifications of big events. Becoming a member is a great way to stay in touch and we’ll be working on ideas for some members-only digital treats while the building is closed.

If you’ve already got tickets for an event that is cancelled or rescheduled then we’ll be getting in touch with you soon, by email first if possible. We’ll refund tickets for cancelled events, or you can have tickets for a new date. You could convert your ticket fee into credit or a gift voucher for future shows. Or you could convert your ticket price (or part of it) into a donation. Any of these options will help support The Met.

Thank you for your support!
