Facilities and Services

Toilets

  • The Met has a large Changing Places toilet on the first floor, equipped with a hoist and height-adjustable changing table.
  • This area is fully accessible via lift.

Hearing Support

  • Derby Hall is fitted with a Sennheiser infra-red hearing system.
  • Headsets and receiver packs are available on request from the ticket office.
  • Disposable ear plugs are provided free of charge at the venue for anyone who may need them during performances.

Assistance Dogs

  • Guide and assistance dogs are welcome throughout the venue.
  • Water bowls are available on request—just ask a member of our team.
  • We also welcome other assistance animals to support your visit. Please contact us in advance if you have any questions or specific needs.

Large Print Materials

  • Large print running times and bar menus are available at the venue.
  • You can also download our large print brochure (PDF) for April–August 2025.

Relaxed Performances

  • Occasionally offered for family theatre and seasonal shows, providing a flexible and inclusive environment.

Lighting Effects

  • The Met does not use strobe lighting. However, some artists may bring their own effects.
  • If you have concerns, please check show details in advance.

Medical Requirements

  • You’re welcome to bring any necessary medicines, medical equipment, or food and drink needed to manage a condition during your visit.
