We want everyone to feel welcome at The Met. Here’s how to easily access our spaces and get here.

Getting Into the Building

  • Main Entrance & Ticket Office: Step-free with a gentle incline from the street.
  • Creative Hub & Recording Studio: Ground floor is step-free via the main entrance. First floor and The Loft are only accessible by stairs.
  • Two Crows Art Studios: Step-free from the street. Access to the theatre involves three narrow steps.

Performance Spaces

Derby Hall

  • Located on the first floor, accessible by lift or stairs (31 steps with handrails).
  • Wheelchair spaces in the front row; aisle or front-row seats offer more legroom. Our team can advise during booking.

The Box

  • Ground floor with level access throughout.
  • Wheelchair spaces available in the front row.

Getting Here

  • Bury Interchange: Just 0.2 miles away with level access (Metrolink and bus station).
  • Plan your route via TfGM or call 0161 244 1000.

Accessible Parking

  • Drop-off: Directly outside on Market Street.
  • Blue Badge Parking: Available at:
    • Across the road from The Met on Market Street
    • Bolton Street Car Park and several nearby locations
