A First Thursday ‘regular’ Californian TV performer Russell Hicks is back by popular demand. He is known for constantly producing new work that’s fast and loose, no two shows are ever the same. If you’ve seen him already, you’ll want to come again and if you haven’t hurry we’ve only got 100 tickets.

Zahra Barri, the half Egyptian, half Irish comedian broke onto the scene in 2011 and since then has gigged with Gail Porter and supported notorious ‘Best Seller’ Howard Marks. She has opened for Tiffany Stevenson, Dana Alexander and Kate Smurthwaite. A Finalist in The BBC Norman Beaton Fellowship Award For Radio Drama in 2010 she believes she has a face for radio. So much so that she hosts a weekly Radio Show called ‘The She Must Be Joking Show’. The show is a comedy fuelled, topical talk show, mainly poking fun at celebrity and entertainment news.

Greg Cook’s deadpan style and mastery of the spoken word led John Plowman, head of BBC Comedy to describe him as ‘Les Dawson for the 21st century’. A prolific writer of comedy, he draws on tried and tested material as well as the news from that morning. Religion, politics, sport, terrorism, poetry, the police, philosophy, royalty and his long-suffering mum have all been given the Greg Cook treatment.
