Hilarious comedy at The Met on the First Thursday of every month.

October features: Paul Thorne (“A waspish, sweary pleasure” Telegraph); former paralympian Ricky Balshaw (“Impossible to resist” Theatre Village); Tim Biglowe (★★★★ Lancaster Guardian); and your host Jenny Hart (“Poised to storm the circuit” Chortle).

Paul Thorne is a highly respected comedian and regular member of The Comedy Store’s Cutting Edge team; performing material based on the week’s news in this prestigious topical show. Paul’s topical gags, spontaneous wit, and surreal songs have taken him to Australia, China,, Dubai, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Thailand as well as quite a few places on the way.

“A waspish, sweary pleasure” Telegraph; “A must-see comedian” The Guardian

A quick-witted, slow walking, fast rising star, Ricky Balshaw is without question, the funniest Paralympic Dressage medallist in the UK, perhaps the world. Stepping over his cerebral palsy like it’s the mildest of inconveniences, Ricky pulls his audience into a joyfully dark world of self-depreciating hilarity. No sympathy vote is needed (or accepted) as Ricky dominates comedy stages up and down the UK. A brilliant joke-smith and storyteller, this young man has comedy greatness in his bones.

“A unique blend of humour… impossible to resist” Theatre Village

“Unspools as wildly as you expect, before undercutting it all with a perfect punchline.” Chortle

Jenny Hart is currently making a name for herself up and down the country, has reached the finals of the English Comedian Of The Year. “Lively musical comedy that can be joyously wrong and infinitely dirty, lusciously dark and often quite flirty” is what’s in store apparently!

“She’s a bold, brash, shameless presence… a powerhouse surely poised to storm the circuit.” Chortle

Midde act is Tim Biglowe who was nominated for ‘Best Show’ at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe. Expect high-energy jokes and stories from this hapless, yet hilarious, hippy.

“He conjures up something both playful and killer” ★★★★ One4Review

“He’s on his way to something magical” ★★★★ Lancaster Guardian
