April’s emerging artists showcase features painter, poet, songwriter and storyteller Toria Wooff.
Standing in the crossfires of gothic literature and dusky Americana, Toria Wooff takes inspiration from a love affair with the 1970s, her haunting vocals swimming through a sea of pedal steel and Wurlitzer back to the golden era of folk rock.
Support comes from Chloe Lawrence, a Manchester based, Essex born and Spanish bred singer-songwriter and street musician.
From her bohemian roots in the mountains of Spain, Chloe has been forged in the folk revelations of the 60’s. Her natural wanderlust led her to revelously dance barefoot with her audience at beach parties and juxtaposed this with contemplative intimate sets, where the ethos of her style showcased the classical elements of folk music whilst syngergising it with her own fierce independent modernity.
