Commissioned by Manchester International Festival, Beating Wing Orchestra bring together diverse cultures from refugees from Manchester’s rich mix of communities; Satellite State Disko mix bawdy Slavic drinking songs, Ottoman choral and Nomad ska; and Zimbabwe’s Heritage Survival play Afro-fusion, drawing on modern influences while upholding traditional rhythms.
This event is part of Fairtrade Fortnight and follows the Fairtrade Fair in the Studio from 11am – 4pm.
