The Met’s regular night showcasing emerging artists returns with an evening spotlighting three exciting bands.

MORA & the Fabulous Wonderfuls bring a unique blend of righteous anger and soul-lifting songs to channel the pain and rage of this crushing existence into a communal connection, sending audience spirits soaring, ready to face the next sunrise reborn with dazzling sparks of defiance and empathy. They’re joined by band Bad Penny and pop-punk power trio Mission Nowhere.

Born backstage, and raised by an AC30, MORA was always destined to be a performer who makes the ground shake. A force of nature compelled by unknown energies to relay her sonic message, she gathered around herself a troupe of quakingly talented musicians who could match her innate power.

The three members of Bad Penny, Pross (lead guitar and frontman), Alex (bass) and Ryan (drums), formed the band during their time at university. With an eclectic mix of influences ranging from classic rock to heavy metal, indie to drum and bass, jazz to classical music and everything in between, the lads craft songs that bring rock music back to the forefront of everyone’s mind. With Pross as the band’s songwriter they quickly built up a back catalogue of original songs to go out into the world and set upon the path of musical history.

Blending big guitar riffs with melodic chordal playing akin to that of Johnny Marr and Jimi Hendrix – a bass style that is melodic yet fills up the low end with an unrivalled groove and drums full of cymbals and fills – Bad Penny is carving out a niche in a modern world filled with so many different styles.

Mission Nowhere are a pop-punk power trio who won the Bury Battle of the Bands with their very first gig in 2025! They are fronted by Matilda on bass and lead vocals, Georgina on drums and Fred on guitar who also contribute to vocals.

They are aged from 17–18 and are gaining a massive reputation and recognition in the local music scene.  Their repertoire of covers and their own material is rapidly expanding as is their fan base. They are rightfully looking to the future to play more and more shows to put the word about!

Mission Nowhere do not disappoint, they’re loud, they’re fast, but most of all they’re fun and loving what they do!
