A playwright of extraordinary wit; a national treasure; author of one of the most readable autobiographies in showbiz – Stephen Fry is all these things.

But let’s shamble along quickly to Arthur Smith, whose solo show features jokes that have been given Ancient Monument status by the National Trust; hilarious ramblings, and shameful poetry.

In support (as well as Imelda, his geriatric nurse) are the songs of sidesplitting world music band Mundo Jazz.

Part of the Manchester Comedy Festival.
