WHN & The Met
We were delighted to welcome Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors as one of The Met’s corporate members in March 2019. Since then, it’s been fantastic to see how WHN have embraced supporting The Met as we’ve embarked on some of our most successful events to date during our 40 year history.
The annual Bury Beer Festival returned in November and was the biggest (and best) yet, where WHN were among the local companies kind enough to sponsor a barrel of fine, independently-brewed ale. The team from the local office came to join us at the festival, and it was so lovely to share the success of the event with our corporate members. Plans for next year are already underway!
WHN also went above and beyond for us during Christmas time, sponsoring free milk and cookies for the first evening ‘pyjama performance’ of The Big Snowy Christmas. This was a great surprise for families coming to the show, and helped to add that little bit of festive sparkle in the run up to Christmas.
We’re currently working towards to hosting a networking event for WHN here at The Met, where we can join forces to spread the word about the importance of local businesses in Bury and their relationship to arts and culture. Beyond this, we’ve got plans to collaborate during Make A Will week and with local schools and colleges to educate young people on the transferrable skills they need to go into the working world. We really can’t thank WHN enough for their support throughout 2019, and are excited to see what we can achieve over the coming year.
Supporting The Met
The support of our corporate members helps us to achieve our aim of becoming the go-to place for arts and music for our region, and to continue to inspire our community by delivering quality and innovation made possible through a sustainable and resilient organisation. We prioritise enhancing the wellbeing of our diverse communities, and strive to strengthen their sense of social cohesion and local pride with the aim of making Bury and Greater Manchester a better place to live and work.
If you would like to find out more about the possibility of becoming a corporate member, please email Ceri on ceridwyn.stewart@themet.org.uk, or find out a little more on our Corporate Membership page.
