Christmas, as they say, starts with St Agnes Fountain. Carols with a curve.
Since they got together to record their first self-named album in 2001, St Agnes Fountain have been giving Christmas songs a good, if respectful, kicking. They bring sparkling musicianship, humour and heartfelt renditions of your favourite Christmas tunes both original and those you know so well (or thought you did).
Orignal member David Hughes decided to leave the band in 2020 to concentrate on solo pursuits and whilst his presence will be missed, remaining members Chris Leslie, Chris While, and Julie Matthews will be keeping the “Aggie” spirit alive with a trio tour of new material and St Agnes Fountain classics.
Although the albums accompany the putting up of a thousand Christmas trees throughout Britain and around the globe, it is without question their magical live performances that have endeared St Agnes Fountain to an ever-growing audience. Their latest album, Night Of A Million Stars was released last year featuring nine brand new songs from the band.
