Skinny Lister are not your average, modern day, gentrified English folk group. Fronted by Dan Heptinstall and Lorna Thomas; a vocalist with a lusty cackle and flirtatious presence, the London based five-piece are pioneers in the use of anesthetic. The band played over 30 festivals last year, a nonstop work rate that saw them acknowledged and awarded by PRS as the ‘Hardest Working Band’ of summer 2011.

Jim Moray is one of the most consistently inventive musicians working in traditional folk music today. After four ground-breaking and award-winning albums he now finds himself at the forefront of a new folk revival in the UK, and is hailed as a pivotal influence by a new generation of folk musicians. Now he comes bearing Skulk, his fifth and perhaps best album yet, with the wherewithal to locate folk music in its rightful landscape: the modern world.

Gavin Davenport has quickly established himself as one of the leading young singers of traditional English song. His debut album Brief Lives has won universally superb reviews and cemented his reputation as a singer capable of standing alongside the great names in English traditional music. “Highly recommended. No, actually it’s essential.”– Shreds and Patches
