The third Urban Moves Dance Festival 2010 presents four free outdoor dance performances, on Friday 23 July at Millgate Shopping Centre, The Rock Shopping Centre and Kay Gardens from midday.
Bringing a unique blend of dance and spectacle to celebrate the cityscape and architecture of Manchester, at this year’s performances you’ll find a fascinating mix of styles and some romance, humour and powerful, pounding sounds.
The four shows include Company Decalage, with a performance based around hip hop, Axial Dance performing a sixties inspired piece with a Lambretta, Beau Geste performing with a mechanical digger and a show from the talented performers of Bury Youth Dance.
The Bury performances have been organised by The Met, Bury Arts Unit, Team Bury, DIGM with funding from Arts Council England, AGMA and Bury Council.
Urban Moves in Bury is part of the London 2012 Open Weekend celebrating 2 years to go until the 2012 Olympic Games.
