“Every idiot who goes about with Merry Christmas on his lips should be boiled with his own pudding and buried with a stake of holly through his heart.” Dickens’ Scrooge
After their sell out Christmas 2010 hit with The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Proper Job Theatre Company return to The Met for 2011 with Scrooge. First performed at Darwen Library Theatre in 2008 to over 3,000 people, Scrooge had an overwhelming response from audiences. The adaptation received acclaim for its innovative staging and special effects as well as exemplary performances by both professional and young community actors. Using the mixed media of film, animation and music, Scrooge has seen Proper Job successfully create a unique and enduring experience of a classic tale of redemption.
“Proper Job’s interpretation of Scrooge, we feel, is both vital and accessible, so holds appeal for both seasoned theatre-goers and brand new audiences alike.”
