Big Whistle regular Ross Ainslie is one of Scotland’s finest traditional musicians and composers, highly sought after on the Scottish contemporary folk scene for his skill on pipes, whistles and cittern. A player with big bands including Treacherous Orchestra, India Alba, Dougie MacClean and Salsa Celtica, Ross has a growing reputation for composing and his work with fellow piper Jarlath Henderson.
Ross is joined for this intimate set at Big Whistle by guitarist Ali Hutton.
