After the release of two studio albums, a live album, a plethora of precious EPs, nearly a decade of touring the world, and a year of learning what it is to be a mother, Rachel Sermanni returns with her third studio album So It Turns.
So It Turns is a collection of songs, tenuously bound by the experience of Being. A simultaneous heralding of the mundane and the spiritual. Of plight and pleasure. The core of it began at a monastery in the borders of Scotland where Rachel was taking a break from tour, serving coffee and studying buddhism. There, in the little volunteer cottages, she started writing ‘If I’, ‘Tiger’, ‘Put Me In The River’ and ‘Come To You’. Some songs stretch further back to other times. Some were written more recently.
So It Turns was released on 10 August 2019.
This event has been rescheduled from 12 October 2019.
