Join us for Bury’s only regular poetry open mike night!

Once More with Meaning is a night of poetry, local ale, and eccentricity, featuring reading from open mike-ers and some very special guest poets, hosted by local poet and author Gemma Lees.

This month’s guest is Dominic Berry.

Multi-award winning poet Dominic Berry has three published collections of verse, has toured throughout the UK and performed on CBeebies’ Rhyme Rocket and Channel 4′s My Daughter The Teenage Nudist.

He is winner of New York’s infamous Nuyorican Poetry Cafe Slam (2011), champion of Manchester Literature Festival’s Superheroes of Slam (2009), heat finalist of Cheltenham Literature Festival Slam (2011) and twice Forever Manchester five-star award winner in Manchester’s Not Part Of Festival (2009 and 2011).

Dominic’s new children’s show, The Dragon Who Hates Poetry, is running at Edinburgh Free Fringe through August 2013.
