Nidd are a trio of young musicians from Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire. Having met as member of The National Youth Folk Ensemble, Kerran Cotterell, Ellen McGovern and Owen Spafford began playing traditional Irish tunes together before forming Nidd. They bring rhythmic Guitar, the Irish Flute and Uilleann Pipes and a Sligo Fiddle style to a mix of traditional tunes and songs from England, Ireland and beyond. Since forming in 2017, Nidd have picked up gigs around England, from Leeds up in the North, to Sidmouth in the South.

They will be supported by the students of One Education Music. The work and success of One Education in Manchester schools has allowed a large number of students to become energised and highly successful playing traditional instruments. Sit back and enjoy the accomplished musicality of these aspiring young folk musicians.

This gig will be followed by a free bar session upstairs featuring musicians from One Education Music; feel free to stick around afterwards to join in or just enjoy some fine quality playing!
