Meet Me at The Met is a social arts group for anyone aged 50 and over.

Come and join us in our beautiful building to get involved in multiple activities as well as making new friendships! From puppetry to textile workshops, we do it all and everything in between! We even have complimentary teas and coffees, because what’s fun without a brew?

Join us fortnightly on Monday mornings starting from 21 September, 11am-1pm at The Met for a fun, relaxed and social time with friends old and new!

• Monday 21 September: Puppetry with Ruth Welch
  Participants will explore how to bring puppets to life, learning key techniques for creating believable characters and performances.
• Monday 5 October: Creative Writing with Tom Stocks
  Through playful writing exercises, word games & activities, participants will explore positivity, self-expression and finding their own unique voice.
• Monday 19 October: Choir Singing with Danni Brace
• Monday 2 November: Eco-Jesmonite with Caroline Coats
  Jesmonite is a versatile material that produces a different outcome every time. You’ll learn how to weigh it, mix it, and add colours and textural effects to create pieces that are completely unique to you.
• Monday 16 November: Sashiko-inspired textile craft with Natsuko Arai-Hannaway
  Sashiko is a Japanese stitching technique that uses a simple running stitch to reinforce, mend, or decorate fabrics. This will be a fun, hands-on experience where everyone can enjoy a piece of Japanese culture, no matter their skill level.
• Monday 7 December: Air-Dry Clay with Ruth Burnham
  Spaces are limited and participants must book in advance.
• Monday 14 December: Festive Craft with Toubie Jack
  Get into the festive mood by creating Christmas tree inspired garlands using wool, card and beads.
