A monthly LGBTQ+ cabaret night hosted at The Met!
LOUD showcases the most fabulous of rising stars from across Bury and beyond. Expect tantalising musicians, side-splitting comedians, captivating dancers and a line-up of talented additions for your delight on a monthly basis. Thursdays have never been so exciting!
December’s event will feature Alexa Vox, Tequila Thirst, and Josh Jones. Your host for the evening will be Mancunian writer, actor and activist Nathaniel J Hall, Artistic Director of Dibby Theatre.
Alexa Vox
Winner of London Pride’s Got Talent 2022, Alexa Vox originally hales from the Essex-London border. She trained in musical theatre at Laine Theatre Arts and Brits School and has toured both the UK and further afield in various touring productions throughout a career spanning thirty years.
Tequila Thirst
South-East Asian drag artist Tequila Thirst is a live singing host, dancer and TV personality. They are hot off the heels of opening for Chappell Roan on tour, is a cast member of BBC’s The Ranganation, and recently appeared on Ch5 with the likes of Gaby Roslin and Ortis Deley.
Tequila is an exciting explosion of energy and colour; they’ll have you dancing, and singing along in no time! So if you’re thirsty for a good time, then get ready to be quenched!
Josh Jones
Mancunian ray of sunshine, Josh Jones is the most original voice to emerge from the north-west in recent years.
After his hilarious debut TV appearances on E4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats and ITV’s Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, Josh has gone on to host BBC Three’s Fast Food Face-Off and make guest appearances on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, ITV2’s Iain Stirling’s CelebAbility, E4’s Reality News, Sky Max’s Dating No Filter, Dave’s Late Night Mash, and Comedy Central’s Undeniable, Guessable, Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains and Comedy Central Live. Josh recently made his debut appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.
Josh co-hosts the Dave original podcast series Hard Sell with Darren Harriott. He also hosts his own historical gossip podcast Dead Drama, and the Chatting with Cherubs podcast with Morgan Rees.
In 2022 Josh was nominated for Best Newcomer at Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards for his critically acclaimed sell-out show Waste of Space. He was previously a finalist for the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award, which he subsequently went on to judge on BBC Three. Josh was also nominated for Outstanding On-Screen Talent Featured in a Production at the 2022 Royal Television Society Northern Ireland Awards for hosting Fast Food Face-Off for BBC Three. He will be a contestant on the new series of Dancing on Ice in January 2025.
