Holly Redford-Jones: I Was Dancing in the Lesbian Bar

Holly Redford Jones

Holly Redford-Jones is a Manchester-based musician and comedian, originally from Chesterfield. During her years as a touring musician and songwriter, she discovered her flair for comedic patter while talking to audiences between and during songs. Wanting to shake things up post-lockdown and missing the thrill of live performance, Holly gravitated naturally towards stand-up comedy.

I Was Dancing in the Lesbian Bar combines Holly Redford-Jones’s three greatest passions; music, comedy, and lesbians. This cabaret show is a sonic love letter to Lesbian Bars of a bye-gone era and a celebration of queer women of the past, present and future. Drawing from personal experience and nostalgic tales shared by queer women from all walks of life, Redford Jones asks where have all the Lesbian Bars gone? How do you know when you’re in a Lesbian Bar? And can I still be a lesbian with clinically diagnosed RSI in my fingers? (Asking for a friend.)

Venn Smyth

Venn Smyth

Venn Smyth blends synth, sax, ballads and bops. Tracks from album Master of Disguise reached No.1 on the LGBTQ Music Chart and his engaging performances have seen him reach the finals of Brighton Voice of Broadway and semis of London Pride’s Got Talent and Una Voce per San Marino.
