Here’s a chance to get started on one of the most simple yet endearing of all instruments – the old Tin Whistle! Terry Walsh has an impressive antecedence on the Manchester Folk Scene – he was one of the original Manchester Beggarmen!
Don’t be frightened if this is your first workshop; there are no great challenges or embarrassing moments ahead – just relax under the guidance of your tutor.
Terry is a very experienced teacher, multi-instrumentalist and Irish Folklorist too. There can be no-one finer to guide your first music making steps.
There are no entry qualifications for this workshop, just an entry ticket, a willingness to learn and the possession of a basic High D Whistle (also available at the Festival Shop). You will be taught all the basics.
If you purchase a weekend ticket or a full Saturday ticket for this event, you will only pay £1 to attend the Big Whistle Festival workshops.
