The Fisherman’s Friends are singers from Port Isaac who have delighted visitors and locals there for more than fifteen years, meshing their voices in an incredibly rousing and joyful set of shanties and Cornish folk songs. Each and every member of this unique group are or have been fishermen, lifeboat men and coastguards in Port Isaac and they’ve known each other since childhood. Having learnt their powerful brand of Cornish harmony singing at the local Methodist chapel, they have skyrocketed from singing in their local pub to playing the main stage at Glastonbury.

“Master of the mouth harp”(Uncut)Will Pound is in demand as a live performer and session musician, playing with the likes of Guy Chambers and Martin Simpson, in his award-winning former duo with ‘banjo wizard’ Dan Wash and on The Hillsborough Single, which featured Sir Paul McCartney, Mel C and Beverly Knight. Will released his first solo record, A Cut Above, in 2013 to rave reviews and was nominated for Musician of the Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2012 and 2014 respectively. With The Will Pound Band, he tours with Chris Sarjeant, Henry Webster and John Parker playing a mix of English, Irish and Northumbrian tunes with jazz, bluegrass, blues, rock and funk rhythms.

The Hut People are gaining a reputation as one of the most entertaining acts to appear on the folk scene. In their surprisingly engaging and often hilarious show, they perform a high-octane blend of folk music from around the world embellished with foot stomping accordion, a mind-boggling array of exotic percussion and a bit of dancing thrown in for good measure.
