When Bob Dylan released Desire in 1976, it quickly became one of the defining albums of his career: cinematic storytelling, sweeping arrangements, and an iconic musical energy built on the foundation of Rob Stoner’s vibrant, lyrical bass performance and the unforgettable violin of Scarlet Rivera – whose sound gave the record its gypsy-folk soul.

Fifty years on from its release, award-winning British singer-songwriter David Ford reunites Rob Stoner and Scarlet Rivera to perform Dylan’s masterpiece with a stellar band featuring Michele Stodart from The Magic Numbers, drummer Darren Beckett and an array of special guest performers, hosted by actor Kerry Shale.

Expect a night of timeless songs (Hurricane, Sara, Isis, One More Cup of Coffee), delivered with the fire and spirit of 1976, by a collection of world-class performers.

This is more than a tribute. It’s a reunion with the music itself – an extraordinary chance to hear Dylan’s album performed by a cast of acclaimed recording artists and the players who crafted a classic.
