Described as “Just amazing” by BBC 6Music, Ben and Dom are bringing their intricate vocals to The Met as part of a UK wide tour to launch their debut album His Head Lies Heavy.
Fresh from Cambridge Folk Festival, opening for Tom Robinson and The Young ’Uns this new vocal duo create an intimate atmosphere wherever they go, weaving their beautiful voices around songs old and new.
Based in South London, the intricate blend of their harmonies comes from a close friendship and shared love of singing together. Ben takes the high notes and Dom takes the low notes (most of the time). The duo lend their voices to songs old and new, performing original material alongside new interpretations of folk songs. Their lyrics touch on friendship, nature and what it means for two men to sing together in this modern day. Their debut EP Shoulder has been well received by audiences and industry, with widespread coverage on blogs and radio. Their songs have been played on BBC 6Music and Radio 3.
Ben and Dom are experienced choir leaders and community musicians, and have been sharing their love of group singing for many years. The two met through the community choir scene, and are passionate advocates for singing and the positive effect it can have on our lives.
Ben and Dom will also be leading a Harmony Singing Workshop at 3pm on Sunday 16 April. Attend both events for the discount price of £18!
