In line with the latest plans for a national lockdown beginning on Thursday 5 November, The Met is unfortunately cancelling plans for live audiences in the building until December 1st.

It’s a disappointment for us, as it will be for many venues, promoters and musicians who were working hard across the country to slowly and safely return audiences to live, in-person experiences.

We will be going ahead with some of the fantastic online gigs we have arranged, including an exclusive pre-recorded one-off set from Liam Frost on Thursday 5 November, and a live show from Quebec with the brilliant Le Vent Du Nord on Friday 6 November. Tickets for both online shows are available now and will support the artists and the venue. The gig planned with My Darling Clementine for Saturday 7 November, which was to be our first gig to feature a live audience which would also be available to watch online, has now been rescheduled to Saturday 11 December.

Scheduled gigs with Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman and Sam Brookes are not able to go ahead this month. We’ll work with the artists to find new dates, and contact ticket-holders as soon as possible with the option to transfer tickets or request refunds.

The Met staff will continue to work from home wherever possible, and will remain available through email to help with any questions. The building will be accessible for some of the workshop and support groups who meet here regularly. Group leaders will be working with the local authority to determine the next steps. If you participate in a regular group at The Met please contact your regular group leader for confirmation. Some of our groups will return to online meet-ups during November.

We have plans for some brilliant online events to reveal soon, and remain committed to helping artists and music lovers plan for the months to come. We will update this page with more news on affected events as we confirm them.
