Exciting Changes at The Met!

As spring is nearly here and our next season is on the horizon, we’re buzzing with excitement about some fantastic developments happening right here in our building.

A Creative Hub in the Making

Our friends and resident artists, Two Crows, have been part of The Met family since early 2024, and together, we’ve been on a journey to transform their creative space. This space has transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity and artistic energy!

Today, it’s home to:

• A vibrant art studio, where imagination runs wild.
• A pop-up shop, showcasing incredible local artwork from Bury and beyond.
• An event space, hosting a variety of artistic workshops and activities.

Great Food to Enjoy

Alongside the creative energy, this space also hosts pop-up kitchens, typically running Thursday to Saturday from 5pm, serving up delicious options. Recently, we’ve welcomed Moroccan Bites, bringing authentic North African flavours, and TLM Sweet Haven, offering a taste of Jamaican-Caribbean cuisine. Whether you’re attending a show or just stopping by for a bite, there’s something tasty waiting for you.

The Transformation is Complete!

We’re excited to share that the refurbishment of this creative hub is now complete! Working closely with Two Crows, we’ve brought a visionary plan to life, making the space more inspiring and functional than ever.

Here’s what’s on offer:

• Enhanced studio spaces for Two Crows’ artists in residence.
• Improved seating areas for both Studio attendees and visitors.
• A more versatile venue for pop-up kitchens and events.

The space is now open and ready to be enjoyed, and we’re thrilled with the results! We’re confident it will provide a fantastic environment for artists, visitors, and food lovers alike.

What’s Happening Now

This weekend, the space is hosting a packed programme of events for International Women’s Day, in collaboration with Two Crows. Expect inspiring activities celebrating creativity and empowerment!

Last month, our pop-up kitchen kicked off with Moroccan Bites, bringing delicious flavours to The Met. This month, we’re welcoming TLM Sweet Haven, offering a mouth-watering Jamaican-Caribbean inspired menu.
