Join Seleena from Over Here to learn about the history of zines, their importance in DIY culture, activism and a way to be creative!
A zine (pronounced “zeen”) is a magazine or booklet that you produce independently. People usually give them away, swap them or sell them for the cost of printing. The zine maker(s) produces their own copies of work e.g. using a photocopier or printer, distributing it by themselves.
Learn how to make your own cut and paste one page mini zine in this workshop!
Over Here is a zine fest based in Manchester that showcases zines and art made by POC. For further information and updates on the next Over Here Zine Fest takin place in Manchester on Saturday 28 September visit their website http://overherezinefest.org/
