The Fugitives are a Vancouver-based acoustic folk-roots group headed by songwriters Adrian Glynn and Brendan McLeod, and joined by banjo player Chris Suen (Viper Central) and violinist Carly Frey (The Coal Porters).
They released their breakthrough sixth album, No Help Coming, in October 2023. It is about the climate emergency, tackling a different type of crisis from their previous album, Trench Songs, which brought WW1 poems written by young adults turned soldiers, into a musical force.
They have earned a JUNO nomination, numerous CFMA and WCMA nominations, and toured extensively through Europe, Canada, and the UK. They’ve entertained crowds at most major Canadian folk festivals, performed a slot at the renowned UK Glastonbury festival, and toured opening for Buffy Sainte-Marie.
