The Big Whistle Festival is pleased to welcome one of the world’s leading makers of traditional instruments to Bury for two sessions of discussions and demonstrations. Rob Gandara, from Oregon U.S.A. is president, chief technical officer and the driving force behind Carbony Whistles. His musicianship and love of piping and traditional music, linked with skills in technology and qualifications in engineering has produced cutting edge Carbon Fibre whistles, pipes and flutes. Rob’s instruments have an enviable international reputation.
Rob will be joined by Phil Brown for chats and demonstrations, uncovering the sensational development of these virtually indestructible and precise instruments.
