Why not spend some quality workshop time with a dynamic young Welsh instrumentalist? Patrick Rimes is a virtuosic fiddler, piper and musical arranger and will be leading this intermediate level Tunes Workshop. Whilst enjoying writing commissions and a busy world class touring schedule, Patrick (a recent graduate from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama) has also gained extensive experience as a workshop leader.
The focus will be upon ‘up tempo tunes from the Welsh tradition and beyond’. A cool mix of jigs and reels can be expected. Technique and ornamentation relative to tune content will also be covered and taught.
Suitable for High and Low D Whistlers, Flautists and Pipers of intermediate level and above.
If you purchase a weekend ticket or a full Saturday ticket for this event, you will only pay £1 to attend the Big Whistle Festival workshops.
