Boo Hewerdine is an English songwriter and lead singer of indie legends The Bible. His songs have been recorded by such artists as Eddi Reader, kd Lang, Jerry Douglas, Kris Drever and Heidi Talbot.

Brooks Williams is a slide guitar wizard from Statsboro, Georgia, USA. Brooks has secured a peerless reputation as a songwriter as well as being recognised as one of the world’s best guitarists.

When Boo and Brooks joined forces in 2012 as State of the Union their self-titled debut had great reviews in Q and The Word, Bob Harris sang its praises and played tracks on his show and their 2012 tour attracted great audiences and feedback. The new album, Snake Oil, was released in July 2013 to further fantastic reviews, including a four star review in Q.

Boo and Brooks will be supported by Plumhall, a roots duo featuring Michelle Plum (Chumbawamba, Waking the Witch) and Nick B Hall (Hall Brothers).
