For the third year running, The Met are hosting a very special event to celebrate International Women’s Day.
This year our wonderful steering group are taking over the building over the whole of Saturday 8 March with creative workshops, health and wellbeing support and a fantastic party in the evening featuring performances from local musicians, poets and storytellers.
This year’s event is split into three ‘phases’:
New Moon 10am-1pm
A series of bookable creative workshops alongside a creative play space from Earlybird Project for babies and young children to be looked after safely while mums and carers try their hand at a new skill and exercise their creative muscles.
Crescent Moon 2-5pm
A health and wellbeing-led afternoon marketplace of local female-owned businesses and support services providing advice, support and handmade products alongside holistic treatments. FREE to attend, treatments may be charged by providers.
This afternoon will also feature workshops from local providers The Great Big Yawn CIC, Empathy Holistic Buddies CIC and Manchester Rock Club.
Curated and brought to you by Happy Me Community CIC and Bury VCFA.
Full Moon 7.30-10.30pm
An evening of female fun with live performances from Ruby Tingle, fantastic DJs and creative activities. FREE
