Foreign Film Club

Foreign Film Club

Foreign Film Club are a five-piece indie-pop/rock band based in Bury and comprised of local students.

Formed in 2025, their catalogue of covers and exciting original songs blend a shared love of classic rock, modern pop, and 2000s indie to create a unique sound, aesthetic, and live experience.

The group consists of five members: Bethany Mansour (vocals), Isaac Vitti (guitar, vocals), Laura Melbourne (bass, vocals), Tobias Edwards (keyboards, vocals), and Joseph Smith (drums).

Their shared songwriting sensibilities, harmonic interplay, and individual influences come together to form a sound they have been honing in for the last year, making their stage debut at Bury’s Glaston-Bury charity festival before experimenting through various live performances at their sixth form college. Expect as-yet-unheard original music with danceable beats, catchy melodies, and memorable lyrics, as well as crowd-pleasing covers with a refreshing modernity.

Bazz Jand

Bazz Jand

Bazz Jand is a jazz-funk group of seven current members, who together provide a unique spectating and listening experience, with a set list of original songs and covers of famous songs with arrangements tailored to the band’s strengths; groovy bass-lines, triumphant horns, and an encompassing yet contagious joy on stage.

In 2024, Bazz Jand was formed here in Bury, at Holy Cross College, where two of the members studied Music Tech. Unexpectedly, the majority of the band was formed in physics class, where most of them bonded through shared suffering under the AQA exam board. Make sure to ask them “what is power?” if you see them.

Known for their love of The Blues Brothers movie, they like to perform in black suits with different kinds of black hats. If you’re lucky, they may even play some blues brothers.

The band is comprised of drummer Anton Holt, electric bassist Kian Simmonds, keyboard player Daniel Rollinger, trumpeters George Robertson and Toby Anderson, alto-saxophonist Matthew Greenhouse, and tenor-saxophonist Sam Green.
