Tickle your fancy is a cabaret night full of surprises. A smorgasbord of entertainment, offering something for everyone.
The night is hosted by Doolally, a female, comedy singing act. They introduce a range of cabaret turns; music, spoken word, magic, comedy, drama and sometimes the downright unusual!
Since 2015, Tickle your fancy have been entertaining audiences in packed out venues in Chorlton, South Manchester. Now it’s Radcliffe’s turn to get in on the act!
Featuring:
-
L J Francis – stand-up comedy
LJ is a sixty-one-year-old semi-retired psychology lecturer who has turned to stand-up comedy. He looks like a very respectable family man… but is he? Looks can be deceptive!
He has done very well in numerous comedy competitions. In fact, he recently came twenty-third in the Accrington over-sixties new comedian of the year competition.
-
Stew Lodge – comedy character
Stew Lodge – one of our regular Tickle your fancy acts – will bring another very funny comedy character to Radcliffe. Slightly surreal but always with a song.
Audience member (about Stew) – “I laughed till my face hurt.”
-
Louise Fazackerley – poet
Introducing alt-pop poet, Louise Fazackerley, fresh from supporting punk legend Dr. John Cooper Clark. With work rooted in word-witchery and the working class, Louise is exploring the synergy between spoken word and movement in a way that makes the ugly beautiful and the everyday fantastical. Funny, bitter-sweet and totally addictive. Winner of BBC Radio 3 ‘New Voices’ and European Slam Finalist. Louise is signed to Nymphs & Thugs and published with Verve Poetry Press.
- Plus music, Doolally songs and the TYF competition with prizes!
Please note: This event is at Radcliffe Market, not The Met.

“Tickle your fancy is like being at a party that you didn’t have to organise or clear up afterwards. Fab evening, just gets better every time.”
