Tyde deliver modern, punchy, danceable tunes, carefully arranged songs and intricate, emotional slow sets. A mixture of raw energy, prodigious musical ability and clever, fresh arrangements make their music something different.

The band first came to public attention when their remarkable musicianship captivated the audience at the 2009 final of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards. They released their second album The Hidden Spoon this year to great acclaim, building excitedly on their 2010 debut with an increasing amount of stylistic influences.

Tyde will be joined by Emma Sweeney, a popular Manchester-based fiddler who integrates a select fusion of world influences that accentuate her truly unique style and approach.
