Platinum-selling 2-Tone veterans The Selecter mark their 35th anniversary with a brand new studio album, Subculture. They will be performing new songs off their latest album as well as irresistable hits such as On My Radio, Three Minute Hero and Missing Words.
The Selecter’s 1980 debut, Too Much Pressure, remains a classic touchstone for a generation of 2-tone/ska lovers. Mixing punk, ska and reggae it reflected the social and political issues of the early Thatcher years in Britain and gave a voice to disaffected youth across the racial divide.
The Selecter returned in 2011 fronted by the original singing duo of Pauline Black and Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson, playing festivals around the world including Isle of Wight Festival, Pohoda Festival (CZ), Les Deferlantes Festival (FR), Cruilla Festival (Spain) and Glastonbury.
Subculture is due for release in 2015.
