“Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes…”

When jealous conspirators fraternise with corrupt council, Edmund Dantes finds himself wrongfully imprisoned within an impenetrable fortress, the infamous prison Chateau D’if.

A lifetime isolation awaits the once proud merchant sailor of the Pharaon, but a chance escape quenches Edmund’s thirst for vengeance. The hero is now the villain, and the villain will have his revenge.

After achieving sell-out success and critical acclaim (including a Manchester Theatre Award nomination) for their produciton of Hyde, Thunder Road return with a mesmerising new adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ swashbuckling cult classic: The Count of Monte Cristo.

Thunder Road Theatre will also be holding an Acting Masterclass at 4pm.
