An evening of the finest folk music in Ramsbottom, this month featuring The Blue Pig Orchestra.

The Blue Pig Orchestra initially made their name by performing cover-versions around the Fylde coast and over time, created the exciting Blue Pig sound. A mix of British/Celtic folk and Americana gives their original material an exciting mood changing dimension and has gone down a storm at recent Fylde, Wirral and Langdale Folk festivals where they shared the bill with artists such as Show of Hands, Dougie Maclean, Jamie Smiths Mabon, the Young Uns and Lucy Ward.

Tonight the Ramsbottom Folk Club presents a unique experience, with Mike and Jo from the band performing an absolutely acoustic set with no microphones, no effects and no PA. With Mike and Jo, every song tells a story, whether it is the haunting ‘Gallows Hill’ about the Pendle Witch trials, or the catchy ‘Life and times of Jeff’ about the founder of Amazon, each song has its own tale to tell.
