Tony Walsh (aka Longfella) is one of the UK’s most renowned performance poets and the current Manchester Literature Festival Comedy Slam Champion.
Dominic Berry is a multi-award winning poetry slam champion on both sides of the Atlantic. He has also performed his poetry on CBeebies, Rhyme Rocket and Channel 4’s My Daughter The Teenage Nudist.
Helen Clare is a freelance writer and facilitator working on a portfolio of projects involving; science, writing, creativity and learning. Her poems have appeared in magazines The North, The Rialto, Ambit and The Manhattan Review.
Martin Stannage (aka Visceral) is a Manchester-based MC, poet, playwright, music producer and workshop facilitator who has performed his blend of poetic imagery and Hip Hop lyricism on BBC Radio 4, CBeebies, and at festivals including The Big Chill, Kendal Mintfest, Stockton International Riverside Festival and Breakin’Walls in Amsterdam.
The writers are also hosting a free Performance Skills Speed-Date from 4pm – a chance to get coached by the best on the spoken word scene.
