Spiro are the most exciting quartet you’re likely to hear. They use folk friendly instruments and the odd traditional tune, but there is also an affinity with contemporary classical, systems, and dance music. Spiro’s music is sweeping, majestic and cinematic – essentially English, beautifully brilliant. “The music is intricately worked out, without the improvisations or solos of a regular folk band, as if they are an inextricable machine…And then the music stops. It’s sudden and surprising but the response is a whoop of joy and cries for more” *****Evening Standard

Leveret is the new trio from three of England’s foremost acoustic musicians, playing traditional tunes and new compositions with style, virtuosity, humour and spontaneity. Andy Cutting, Sam Sweeney and Rob Harbron join forces to create fresh and exciting instrumental music.

Nominees for the 2014 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards – Horizon Award, Josienne Clarke and Ben Walker combine classically trained musicianship with Josienne’s jewel-like voice to produce ageless stories of love and loss. The duo’s new album, Fire and Fortune, is due for release in July.
