Orkestra del Sol’s delightful reinvention of the brass band takes it’s diverse influences – ska, porro, calypso, klezmer and funk – and creates a living, breathing polka-ing, pogo-ing honkstep for the 21st century.

Trumpet, trombone, sousaphone, saxes, clarinet, accordion and two drummers weave a wonderfully original tapestry of sound: soaring horn lines, beautifully layered harmonies and an uncompromising rhythm section who deliver the meanest grooves with a twinkle in their eye!

Undoubtedly one of the best festival bands in the UK right now, Orkestra del Sol’s masterful blend of bombastic brass, good-time honkstep and tongue-in-cheek humour has wowed audiences all over the globe.
