A new regular folk club featuring singarounds, sessions and guest artists.
This month’s guest artists are dapper gentlewomen and purveyors of chamber folk O’Hooley and Tidow. Blessed with sensitivity, coupled with a great sense of humour, Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow write creatively, expressing new ideas both lyrically and musically in a beautiful way. The duo’s unusual songs touch on everything from dark folk tales, ecology and cross-dressing historical figures through to the invisibility of the elderly and the global economy.
O’Hooley and Tidow were recently singled out as the best act at Cambridge Folk Festival by The Guardian (read the review here).
