Novacane are a teenaged alternative rock band from Bury.
They met studying music at college and came together over a shared love of ’90s alt rock bands like Nirvana, Fugazi and Hot Water Music as well as ’00s indie and ’80s hardcore punk.
They opened Manchester Punk Fest 2024 with a set at Yes’s Pink Room and have played their own headline shows as well as supporting touring punk outfits like Wonk Unit.
Now they’re starting off 2025 with a bang – the release of their debut 7″ EP on Cardiff-based Brassneck records. The EP is a potent mix of all the band’s influences, wrapped up in a raw, bare-bones production style that perfectly fits the four songs featured on the record, and the band can’t wait to bring the songs to live crowds!
