Fairground Attraction founder, songwriter and double BRIT Award winner Mark Nevin brings his brilliant band to The Met.
Beside writing the classic Perfect (which celebrates 30 years since topping the charts around the world) and the much loved album First of a Million Kisses, his songs have been recorded by David Bowie, Morrissey, Ringo Starr, Joe Cocker, Kirsty Maccoll and many more. But it is as a unique performer that Nevin has finally claimed his rightful place at the centre of the stage.
His latest album My Unfashionable Opinion has enjoyed extraordinarily enthusiastic reviews, described by Mojo magazine as “songs of hope, joy, ironic insight and spectacular humanity”
it takes the listener on a fascinating journey through a life well lived.
Expect a night quite unlike anything else out there. Mark weaves his humorous, moving and inspiring stories between great songs, old and new. He is joined by original Fairground Attraction band-mates, Simon Edwards on bass, Roger Beaujolais, who dazzles on the vibraphone and drummer Richard Marcangelo.
