Lankum (formerly Lynched) are Dublin’s most talked about folk band in decades. Lauded as folk miscreants with a mischievous punk attitude.

The three times BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominated band are well seasoned festival performers. Their distinctive four-part vocal repertoire encompasses music-hall, street-songs and classic ballads from the traveller tradition. Vociferous vocal work is underpinned by a multi instrumental line up of uilleann pipes, concertina, accordion, fiddle and guitar.

Having successfully toured coast to coast in the U.S.A. with a sell out UK tour under their belt – it’s now Big Whistle’s chance to revel in the sound of Lankum.
