Nashville singer-songwriter Kevin Montgomery returns to The Met for an evening of his brand of laid back, California country rock, ala Jackson Browne.

The legendary singer-songwriter Jude Johnstone joins as the opener.

Montgomery’s mom sang with Elvis and Dad wrote songs like “Heartbeat” for Buddy Holly, and was his first musical partner. Montgomery wrote “I Won’t Close My Eyes” on Martina McBride’s quadruple platinum album, Evolution. Juice Newton covered his A&M Records release, “Red-Blooded American Boy”. He sang harmonies on Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance” album. Most recently he wrote “Come to Mine” with Graham Gouldman from 10CC and Beth Neilsen Chapman that appears on both their releases.
